Jeannie told me my hair was in great shape. Something I was shocked by. I do take great care of it but I hadn't had a cut in a while! I guess all those protective products I had been using worked! Take care of your hair ladies(and gents!). Then came the time to wash the highlights out. As we went to the shampooing room we both smelled a perm being done. She was in the shampoo room. We both made a small joke about how we could smell her. As Jeannie was washing out my highlights another stylist came in and we all started talking. He was saying again how I had so much hair. We all made comments on how we wished we had different hair. Everyone wants what they don't have right? Well I commented on wanting less hair. Only because mine is so thick! And on came the topic of donating to Locks off Love.
Donating to Locks of Love is something I have always wanted to do. I just didn't think they could take my hair because it wasn't virgin hair. I even made the comment to Jeannie and the other stylist that I would donate but I didn't think I could. That's when they both said I could! If you think about it not many people have virgin hair now. Meaning we all get our hair colored and highlighted, so it's not virgin. Jeannie told me that they do accept colored hair as long as it's not fried. And my hair wasn't fired. It was in good shape. Let me tell you the decision was easy! As soon as I knew I could I said "Ok let's cut it!". Locks of Love takes hair donations to make wigs for kids with cancer. It's an amazing thing to donate to. Your hair grows back, so donating was the easiest decision for me. My hair grows so fast that I could likely donate again by the end of the year. Which I am planning to do again. Just think you may be missing a little bit of hair but now a kid with cancer gets the chance to feel more normal.
I hope that more of my friends will donate now that they see how easy it is. So I'm challenging my friends, girls grow your hair out. Keep your hair in good shape, and Donate! On their website they state that they need 10 inches of hair to make a hairpiece. 10 inches is what I donating. Next time I hope to donate a longer amount. So I just might go shorter with my haircut. I would love if you would go to their website and get a feel for what they are about. It's a great and easy cause to donate to. So please grow, grow, grow, and Donate soon! I am so happy I did!

I love your hair cut!!! And way to go for donating it! :)
